 For those who have been impacted by downsizing, a company closing, laid-off or simply need a first job or new opportunity, a wide range of emotions such as fear, doubt and insecurity may enter the picture.
The Medina County Workforce Development Center, aka MedinaWorks is an employment solution that can help you. We receive federal and state funds to provide services and those are available to you at no charge.
The Center offers:
* Individual assistance by placement specialists
* Free access to our Resource Room for job search activities:
- with workstations, printers and high speed internet
- facsimile and (b/w) copier access
- access to classified ads and local job openings
* Posting of your resume on the Ohio Job Matching System
* Workshops on Resume Writing, Knowing your Transferable Skills, and Acing the Interview
* Self Assessment Software
* Labor Market Information, regarding occupation, industry and salary trends
* Training in a broad range of occupations for job seekers who qualify under government guidelines
* Updates on local job fairs and special recruitment efforts of local employers at the Center
* Orientations for those wanting an explanation of the full array of services offered at the Center.

Coffee Talk: These sessions, held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month at libraries throughout Medina County, present information essential to job seekers.
Management Group: This group of management professionals meets at MedinaWorks the 1st and 3rd Fridays each month. Call 330-723-9675 to see if this is the group for you.
St. Francis Xavier Job Club: To register, contact Joe Gainard at 330-725-8690/ joseph.gainard@gmail.com or Dan Cathcart at 330-722-6715. Meets the 1st Wednesday each month at Holy Martyrs Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Rd at 7pm. Meets the 3rd Tuesday each month at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 131 N. East St, Medina at 7pm.
Brunswick Job Search Group: To register of for more information, please contact Mary Baker at 330-273-4150. Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at the Brunswick Library, 3649 Center Rd, Brunswick from 10am-Noon.
