Detailed Work Activities:  DWAs provide information on the common work activities required across occupations by coding the work activities to O*NET-SOC occupations

Emerging Tasks:  In their survey responses during the on-going data collection, job incumbents are provided the opportunity to provide any statements of tasks that they feel are not represented in the current survey task list for their respective occupations. Based on a review and analysis of such statements, drawn from the occupations in the initial data collection, revisions were made to existing tasks and emerging tasks were identified.

Lay Titles:  The Lay Titles file provides a list of alternate occupational titles that are linked to the SOC and O*NET-SOC classification systems. The file was developed to improve keyword searches in several Department of Labor internet applications (i.e., Career InfoNet, O*NET OnLine, and O*NET Code Connector). The original file, developed earlier under a separate Employment and Training Administration grant, largely consisted of occupational titles from existing occupational classification systems. In its most recent update, occupational titles were included from other diverse sources.

Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) to O*NET-SOC Crosswalk:  This file provides a mapping of military occupations to the O*NET-SOC. Developed collaboratively by the Defense Manpower Data Center and the National Center for O*NET Development

Registered Apprenticeship Information System to O*NET-SOC Crosswalk:  This file provides a mapping of registered apprenticeships to the O*NET-SOC.

SOC Classification:  The O*NET database classification conforms to the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) Standard Occupational Classification (SOC). Each of the four SOC levels used to aggregate occupations is displayed in this NCSC version and includes codes, titles, and definitions
