Medina County University Center
The University of Akron’s leadership in community outreach and regional economic development, under the direction of President Luis Proenza, is widely recognized both throughout the State of Ohio and nationally. The Medina County University Center (MCUC), which was developed through a unique partnership with leaders and citizens of Medina County, represents an innovative extension of those efforts.

The University of Akron and Lorain County Community College have partnered to bring higher education closer to home with the Midpoint Campus Center in Brunswick.
